Hi there! This looks fantastic...basically I am moving away from fantasy makeup and into prop making, especially weapons. Wow there's a lot to learn! It's exciting though...I'm attempting to make a sword of omens and notice that you have already done one that looks incredible. Could I possibly PM you a couple of questions about it?
Would be hugely appreciated...
Thankyou,

Ben

Unfortunately, that costume was damaged when I moved, beyond repair. I still have the patterns to re-create the armor, though, and it's on my list for next time I have some free time!

I totally agree with Leslie. You need to finish this. If you have, please put pics of the completed costume

Ah, sure - I used a combination of low temp hot glue and packing tape to combine the balsa and plastic. Too much hot glue, or a high temp hot glue, and the plastic will warp, so be careful.

Thank you for this tutorial! May I ask what type of glue you used to glue together the plastic and the balsa wood?

Yep! Well, technically I won't have it until March or so, but it's on order. I may have to reprogram it, depending on what it supports when I get it...

I didn't realize you'd picked up a 3D printer. That's cool...

Glad I could help! Tried sending you an email response, but it bounced, apparently someone is using the same email server I am for spamming.

Post pictures when you get it working!
